Week One: MISSION COMPLETE!

Okay team, how did you do? How was your first week? What did you most like about this challenge? What was your least favorite about week one?

Mine was being sick and not being able to exercise completely. I actually have the exercise thing down, so it was such a pain to lose points for something I can easily do. The thing I like best about this challenge is being accountable for what I do, and not wanting to let my team down. So many times I wanted to eat 500 popsicles so my throat wasn't in so much pain, but I decided to avoid all the sugar. It was rough! I lost a total of 3 pounds this week, and my total points count was 187. Losing weight sure does make up for the points missed on sugar and exercise. Happy Monday!!!!!

  1. My week was good. Like I said, I feel like I was trying to get around the points rules in order to cheat and sneak in stuff I wasn't supposed to eat. So this week I'm really hitting my nutrition hard. I was reading last night about the 80-20 rule, which is that 80% of your results come from 20% of your work. So I need to figure out where it is I struggle, what is holding me back, and put my energy into that. So obviously my struggle is my nutrition. I LOVE FOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! And not just any food, HIGH CALORIE FOOD!!!!! I don't know why, but nothing is good to me unless it contains a whole lot of butter and maybe a cup or two of sugar, just for kicks.

    And so this week I'm really going to think about my nutrition. I'm going to focus on getting a vegetable in at every meal. And I'm going to research yummy vegetable recipes. I will post a couple that I have found that I like.

    My point count for this week was 186. And I lost 2 pounds. I like this idea. Let's keep it going. It helps to be accountable.

  2. God job girls! Irene I hope you are feeling better. My favorite thing is accountability and my least is that I have a problem with undoing all my hard work! I will write more about that later, but I are a ton of junk on sunday, just in time to weigh in! Ahhh! Oh well. I am really going to focus on staying in control this week. I had 192 points and lost 2 lbs. Have a great day!

  4. I feel accountable also and don't want to let my team down so it's hard in some respects but in others it's not. I cut up carrots, celery and cucumbers and put them in a bag the night before so it's ready when I leave to take my kiddos to school. To make them more enjoyable, sprinkle Mrs. Dash on them. I LOVE THAT! Misty also dips hers in hummus...YUMMY! My problem is that I'm eating the veggies in the car on the way home from the gym, so hummus doesn't work for me then. Just 2 suggestions of eating veggies. My points were not that high. I got 171. My sweets were the only issue. I did everything else...

    I only lost 1 pound but that's one pound lighter. If I keep this up, I'll meet my goal...

    I like this reporting points thing too. Then we all know where we stand and who might need a little motivation. That being said, my husband has my computer and therefore my points. I think it was something like 187. I know that I lost 2.6
